Will You Still Love Me....

Will You Still Love Me If I Wet the Bed? by Liz Prince (Top Shelf)

Warning: Do not read this comic if you have been single for longer than a year. It's recurring theme of, "Isn't being in love great" may very well push you over the edge and make you start stabbing people with an icepick. I think Bridget Jones had the a term for people like Liz Prince, "smug married." But if you can get past that, "Will You Still Love Me..." is a great read. A collection of loose, cute one page comics about Liz, her boyfriend Kevin and their cat Science. Each page is warm and funny and overflowing with love. Highly recommend, if you can stand it.

The First Review (a historic moment)

Manhunter #14
by Marc Andreyko and Javier Pina

Not a big fan of the OMAC crossovers. After last issue's battle between Manhunter Kate and old Manhunter Mark Shaw (who is really also bad guy Dumas too), they are attacked by an OMAC because of Shaw's connection to the OMAC project. So boom, Manhunter team up. Not the strongest issue but I love Manhunter Kate's kick ass attitude and salty dialog. I really like this title but I wish it wasn't so entrenched in the DCU. I'd love to see Kate take on her own villains with self contained storylines.

And thus it begins...

Today I begin my blog odyssey. Tally ho!

Why create this blog?
Well, I read a lot of zines and comics, like every day. So I've long thought that a blog would be a good way to keep track of what I'm reading and maybe spread the word on some really good stuff I come across. Reading is a solitary activity and a blog is a nice way to make it more social.
